Ship of Fools or Boat of Idiots.
I don't know which one I am on right now, but I can tell ya that a few need to go overboard. There are just too many stupid people on top making decisions that affect people the work for a living. Why can't people just say what they mean? Is it that hard? Maybe it would be easier if there were a little sign on people's foreheads that spell out what people really mean when they are talking. It would take some getting used to but there would be a hell of a lot less hassle.
Mind you this would be for words that are spoken and not for random thoughts. This would turn into Mel Gibson in WHAT WOMEN WANT. It wouldn't necessarily do away with conflict or problems, but it would move people towards being honest with each other. We often aren't honest with each other or ourselves for that matter. How often do we talk to someone and tell them some bullshit story and it is supposed to be helpful or inspiring, but we don't even believe what we have said.
I am not gonna get all weird about being sensitive to this person or that, we need to treat people with respect, but that means being honest and direct and tempered with respect. So how does that effect my tirade about the forehead signs? It doesn't. It would cause us to think before speaking, and is that really so bad.
